Tag Heuer
TAG Heuer's heritage is certainly one of the most important of all Swiss watch brands.
Founded as Heuer in 1860 and renamed TAG Heuer in 1985 when TAG Group bought a majority stake in the company, the Swiss brand has played a key role in taking watchmaking to a new level of precision and performance.
Its history begins when Edouard Heuer (1840-1892) founded Uhrenmanufaktur Heuer AG in St-Imier, a village in the canton of Bern, Switzerland. He was only 20 years old at the time. The son of a shoe manufacturer, he trained as a watchmaker at the age of 14.
